DJ B-Mello is one of the most well rounded and respected DJs in the world. He was a pioneer in the mixtape game distributing his street-level mixtapes worldwide which soon gave him his break in radio. He got his start and had a 15+ year run on Seattle's KCMU/KEXP spinning and hosting the legendary hip hop shows "Rap Attack" and "Streetsounds". B-Mello mixed 5 to 6 nights a week on Seattle's #1 rated KUBE 93 and currently holds down the "5 Oclock Traffic Jam" mix. In addition to KUBE, B was simultaneously holding down mixshow duties on KXJM in Portland, Oregon as well as SHADE 45 on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio. This grind and notoriety lead to him being voted WESTCOAST DJ OF THE YEAR and he received his award during The 9th Annual Power Summit in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. In 2011 B received the King County Executives Award for Excellence in Hip Hop which is one of the most prestigious awards given in his current residence of Seattle, Washington.

A veteran battle, mixtape, and party deejay, he has opened up for many major Hip Hop groups, including 50 Cent, T.I., Outkast, E-40, Ludacris, Akon, The Roots, Nas, Run DMC, De La Soul, and Common just to name a few. He's served as the DJ for artist such as Clipse, Jayo Felony, New Boyz, & Young Money artist Gudda Gudda, & many more. He's the official DJ for Flyworld and the artist Eighty4 Fly. B-Mello was a West Coast DMC finalist competing against Shortkut, Babu, Melo-D, Rhettmatic, and other amazing turntablists. He won the DJ Soundwar in Canada (judged by Q-Bert). He also has judged high profile battles for ITF, Freestyle Sessions, Guitar Center, and for the DMC regional and finals in both the U.S and Canada. Corporate clients such as Microsoft, T-Mobile, Scion, etc have used B-Mello for numerous events & he was recently chosen by Red Bull to spin the Seattle EmSee Battle. The episode was filmed and will air in January 2012 on the G4 cable network. Featured along with B and the competing MCs will be host Bun-B (UGK) & judges Too Short, Crooked I (Slaughterhouse), & Casual (Hieroglyphics). His services have also been enlisted by many professional sports franchises including the Seattle Mariners, Storm, & more recently the Seattle Seahawks. Let's not forget college football, DJ B-Mello currently is the official DJ for the UW Huskies and spins in the ZONE during home games.

B's knack for reading a crowd has always made him one of the top club & party DJs and he has showcased his talents around the world in venues and radio stations. He was also honored by being cast as a character in the SCARFACE video game along with other actors & music professionals. People lie, but numbers don't: The social networking site Myspace.com named DJ B-Mello an official Myspace DJ and he currently has a fanbase/network of 158,000+ friends and he has gained over a million plays and views. He also has more than 855,000 views of his videos on Youtube and Myspace. His Twitter following is at 10,100+ as of Sept, 2011. His personal Facebook page skyrocketed & max'd out at 5,000 friends and he recently was forced to start Barry Williams & DJ B-Mello fan pages which have over 7,500 combined "Likes".

His history in hip hop began really early at the age of 12 as a b-boy and his accolades are incredible. He's been featured in many magazines such as VIBE, The Source, XXL, Rap Sheet and his professional resume is very extensive all pertaining to hip hop. He's been a club/event/radio DJ, a radio personality, a journalist/music editor, as well as handles promotions and marketing for music, movies, & other products targeted towards urban lifestyles as well as the mainstream masses. B-Mello has been featured in music videos, on records, & has also lectured and demonstrated the art of deejaying and the History of the Hip Hop deejay at the University of Washington, Seattle Art Museum, and at Seattle's Experience Music Project to name a few.

B-Mello has some seriously major affiliations - The Core DJs, a collaboration of heavy DJs from across the country headed up by Tony Neal with such members as The Baka Boyz, Green Lantern, Clinton Sparks, Big Tigger, & Kid Capri. The Core is a foundation and is more like a family than a DJ coalition. Shadyville DJs, which is G-Unit's own DJ Whoo Kid's crew of national and internationally known DJs making waves in radio & mixtapes which has such members as DJ E-Rock, DJ Noodles, Tim Westwood etc.., last, but not least he got his start in NRC, a national turntablist crew that was founded by producer Just Blaze, and is headed up by DJ A.P. of AV8 Records fame. One of the hottest artist in the Northwest Eighty4 Fly sought out the DJ skills of B-Mello and he became his official DJ.

Mixtape projects such as E-Dawg "The Plan Before The Retirement Plan" Vol. 1 & 2, Logics "Clarity", Eighty4 Fly "1stClass In FlyWorld" received over 100,000 downloads last year and his new series "Indie Heat" has received over 350,000 downloads of Vol. 1 -3 combined. His "Sea 2 Mia" was released at the CORE DJ retreat in May 2011 and has surpassed expectations. His latest releases are J-Key "The Potential" & Eighty4 Fly "Flight Eighty4".
